Dear Dr Serene,

This is to especially acknowledge the impact you had on me in the short time you tutored me for the LL.M.
I cannot thank you enough for all your insights, help and support.

As a medical doctor who graduated medical school almost 40 years ago, I thought Intellectual Property and Medicine would be easy. Besides, I already had a LL.B Second Upper.

When I failed my final two LL.M modules, I knew I had to seek help. I had never failed an exam.

You are a great teacher. I enjoyed our discussions on human genome and gene editing.
The approach and structure you taught is the only way I can answer now.

You have completely reorientated my thought process. You showed how easy it was to understand not just the content of the module but how to always relate it for exams in a strongly referenced manner, such that your deep understanding of the subject was reflected not in theory but in the way and manner you shape your answers.

I know the result dates are still far, but this is not about results but about being comfortable in the learning and understanding of medical law and ethics.

Thank you very much.

I shall share slides of my new hospital project based on my experiences in learning Medical Law and Ethics and wanting to make an impact on influencing access to medical care for indigent women and children in Nigeria. I must say, you played a huge role in my pursuit of this charitable cause.

Thank you once again Doc.
