I cannot guarantee that you will score an ‘A’ or Distinction — or any other grade.

It is up to you to read the assigned materials, study, research, think critically, write the paper, and take all required exams.

I provide the tools, knowledge, expertise — and accountability — so that you can do the best you possibly can.

Ultimately, the rest is up to you.

With timed written exams, in particular, how well you do is based on a confluence of factors such as your level of preparedness, your anxiety level, how well or ill you may be on the day of the exam, how quickly you recall, think, and write (which is also dependent on your preparation), personal factors, exam answering technique (which you and I would have continually worked on and refined), and so on.

Having said that, I should point out that many of my students in the 34 years I’ve been teaching are happy to report that by studying with me, they saw their grades increase by at least two grade bands from one semester to the next (e.g., C to A- … Third Class to Second Upper … etc).

Those who had failed a course or module prior to studying with me were excited when they achieved several grade level ‘jumps’ to B+ … A or Distinction … and First Class.
